Ford Extends Employee Pricing for All After Huge Success

Science and TechnologyAutoFord Extends Employee Pricing for All After Huge Success

Ford has extended its employee discount pricing for all program to July 6, according to Automotive News, following the Trump administration’s Tuesday order to scale back tariffs.

The program, called the “From America, For America” campaign, offers discounts to consumers that would normally only be available to Ford employees. Internally called “A plan” pricing, it usually results in a discount of $2,000 to $10,000, depending on the vehicle.

The pricing strategy kicked off on April 3, the same day Trump’s 25-percent auto tariffs took effect. It was supposed to run until June 2, but continued industry uncertainty and increased demand has led Ford to reconsider.

“The campaign has resonated deeply with the public,” Rob Kaffl, Ford’s director of US sales and dealer relations, said in a statement. “Customers know Ford delivers when it counts, and so far, the program has delivered double-digit sales increases and strong expected share growth over the last month.”

Ford said earlier this month that foot traffic in dealerships has spiked by double digits, and that dealerships were receptive to the message behind the discounts. But the low pricing and higher sales won’t last forever, unless more tariff relief comes.

Ford told dealers on April 16 it would consider raising prices in response to tariffs unless “material changes” were made to Trump’s policies. The relief announced yesterday is something, but it might not be enough to sustain a profit margin. Ford said any increases would likely affect cars delivered to dealerships starting late June.

Until then, Ford’s discounts will continue through the July 4 weekend. As a reminder, the employee pricing discount is available on most Ford and Lincoln models, including the company’s endlessly popular F-150 pickup truck. There are some exclusions, namely anything with a Raptor badge and big SUVs like the Expedition and Navigator.

The pricing program isn’t the only thing Ford’s extended through early July. The company will continue to offer free Level 2 home EV charger installation with the purchase of any new electric Ford, a scheme that was originally set to end in 2024.

If you want to avoid paying for Trump’s tariffs, a Ford dealer could be your last chance.
